Reducing Inappropriate Referrals

Purpose of course

We are aware that many projects struggle with inappropriate referrals. This can happen in many different shapes and forms. For example: not meeting criteria or withholding of information to meet eligibility. This short course is designed to provide you with support and guidance on this topic. It is important to know how to grow a strong relationship with you referrers and partnerships, whether individuals or agencies.

Discussion points of this workshop are:

  • Good practice in referral form
  • How do we calculate what is and is not appropriate?
  • Saying no to inappropriate referrals
  • Minimising inappropriate referrals
  • Safeguarding your system
