Nicola Zielinski, our Membership Officer attended the APPG for Tackling Loneliness & Connected Communities. 

On 21st February Nicola Zielinski, our Membership Officer from the Befriending Networks team attended the APPG for Tackling Loneliness & Connected Communities. 

The meeting was chaired by Kim Leadbeater MP. It was great to see many of our members in attendance at this meeting including Linking Lives and The Chatty Café Scheme. The event was an opportunity for everyone in the sector to meet the Minister  Rt. Hon Stuart Andrew who talked about the Government's aims and objectives for tackling loneliness. Stuart was the Minister for Equalities until 7th February 2023. Olivia Field, Head of Policy at British Red Cross also talked about Sector Priorities and as always British Red Cross did a great job of hosting another hybrid meeting.
