Ivision Trust

Ivison Trust Volunteers provide emotional and practical support to parents and carers of children affected by Child Exploitation. Trust Volunteers contribute to Ivison Trust's 'wrap-around' support services for families.
There are many ways in which our Trust Volunteers support families, including:
+ Face-to-face Befriending. Primarily volunteers offer support to parents and carers whose journey with support services is coming to an end. Once there has been a reduction in the risk of child exploitation, support services will often withdraw support. Our Befrienders ensure that there is a period of transition and support for such families. This service is area specific.
+ Support Line Service. Volunteers deliver a remote weekend support service accessible to families working with Ivison Trust. This telephone support service allows volunteers to deliver support to families during periods of crisis and isolation.
+ Online Parent and Carer Community Volunteers. Volunteers facilitate and encourage forum discourse and are available to deliver advice and support to parents and carers who reach out. The platform is a secure online peer-to-peer support system.
+ Community Champions. Our community champions are trained to deliver awareness raising sessions to parents, carers, and professionals to support with early intervention and a greater understanding of Child Exploitation.
