Our friendly, warm team of telephone befrienders is there for anyone who is isolated or lonely. Living alone doesn’t mean living lonely.
Jewish Care befrienders will keep in touch via a phone or video call or visit in person where desired and possible.

Information for volunteers

We are looking for people willing to provide a professional friendship by visiting or calling members of the Jewish Community once a week for 30 minutes minimum. During those visits, you will be contributing to giving someone a purpose in their day and something to look forward. Share your interests, hobbies or history, and learn something new.

Jewish Care will provide full training.
