Elder Voice

Elder Voice - Tayside provide befriender for older adults to help them live independent happy lives. Just a quick phone call or a call in for a cuppa can make such a difference and address the loneliness and isolation within the community.
The befriending role is an integral part of our communicating and connectedness with older people. The feedback we receive we can act on and address any issues which may not be picked up. Its a friendly way of just keeping in touch, taking someone out for a walk, talking about gardening or hobby, relating memories, taking them out for a drive for a coffee, visit a garden centre or even a phone call brightens up their lives.

We are looking for shopping/befrienders - do someone's shopping and become their friend. Help put the shopping away for them, chat to them and feed back any issues they may have. This volunteer role is good for someone who wants to put back something into the community. You dont need to drive (but if you do we pay all mileage expenses),
Our volunteers are disclosure checked (PVG) and we provide identification badge and lanyard and training and support.
