Headway Somerset

Making Headway Buddies work across Somerset to support and encourage people following an acquired brain injury, as they look to rebuild confidence and make connections with their communities and interests. If you use our service we will support you to: be more involved in your community and join in local activities of your choice, build self-esteem and confidence, become more independent, meet new people and have fun.

Information for volunteers

Making Headway recruits, trains and supports volunteers who have an interest in acquired brain injury and in supporting and enabling people living with ABI in Somerset to engage with their interests and communities. As a Making Headway Buddy you will: learn about acquired brain injury during a comprehensive induction, have regular training and support opportunities, develop transferable skills (great for your CV), meet new people and have fun.
