Arran Community and Voluntary Services

Our aim to provide a volunteer befriending scheme for vulnerable older people and those who are socially isolated. Offering support, companionship, encouragement and regular community based contact to help people to become more independent, overcome social isolation and develop confidence. We will offer support and training for volunteers. We are currently looking for volunteers to carry out a variety of roles, please get in touch if you have time to spare.

Information for volunteers

The Befriending Service offers volunteers the chance to make a new friend and also help someone overcome social isolation. Training opportunities will be made available to volunteers and it offers them a chance to learn and build skills while giving something back to the community.
