Cyrenians OPAL (Older People, Active Lives)
OPAL supports individuals over 60, who are at risk of or suffering from loneliness and isolation. Our clients may be suffering from low mood, anxiety, depression, may have had a fall and recently returned home from hospital, have mobility issues or suffered from a stroke. They are often living distant from their family or have no family at all. Their social network may consist of health professionals (e.g. social worker, nurse), neighbours and possibly other voluntary sector organisations.
OPAL's aim is to make a positive contribution to a person’s quality of life, health and sense of well-being by supporting them to remain independent at home as well as socially connected and engaged.
