Annual Conference: Celebrating Community Connections (Member Exclusive)

Please note that our Annual Conference Event on Wednesday 2nd November 2022 is limited to one participant per organisation. This is so our 200 spaces can cater to as much of our 350+ befriending projects currently in our membership. We will cancel any duplicate bookings.
About this event:
As a Member of Befriending Networks, one benefit is exclusive access to our annual national event. Join us for a range of keynote speakers, our AGM segment and celebration of Befriending Week, as well as the opportunity to attend two workshops out of twelve options to network and learn directly from projects and researchers themselves.
How do the workshops operate?
When you book you will be sent an automatic booking confirmation email. Within this email you will find a link to a Microsoft Form where you will inform us of your workshop preferences. We will try to honour first choices but please note that this is a first come first serve basis.
Within your booking confirmation email you will be sent a link to a Microsoft Form that must be filled in prior to the event. Please ensure you follow this link and complete the form.
What's the agenda for the day?
The event will open up at 9:25am ready to start at 9:30am sharp. We hope you can join from the very beginning. Please note, those not online prior to 9:45am may be deined access.
What are the workshops available?
You can see the full details in our online programme HERE but please know we have selected a great range of experience from the field and research to try ensure there is something for everyone. We are very grateful to all our guest who are running a session during this event: Linking Lives; Time to Talk; UK Youth; Home Group; Volunteer Scotland; Rowan Alba; Befrienders Highland; Queen's University Belfast; Aberlour. There is also the option to sit back and relax in open networking with Befriending Networks for thsoe who prefer not to attend a session but just to chat freely to others.
