Communicating and Engaging Volunteers with Policies and Procedures

This is a brand new course and running for the first time this May. For this reason, this course is running at a discounted price.

Purpose of course:

This course is designed for staff within befriending projects: programme leads, managers, coordinators, trainers. A key part of managing any befriending project is ensuring that policies and procedures are followed by all involved for safety, efficiency and liability. This short course is focussed on just that - motivating volunteers to not only follow our policies and procedures, but to get an active engagement. From boundaries, lone working, support and supervision - these informal befriending roles and relationships have formality. Register to access our guide book to implementing your P&P in an efficient and engaging manner.

Duration and Time Commitment:

To complete this course, all participants will gain access to the guidebook on Thursday 13th May to read and review before joining the group session online on Zoom on Friday 14th May, 10am -11:30am. Online, the guidebook will be discussed while we network, share expereinces, ideas and consider our next steps to improve the efficiency and safety of our projects and stakeholders.

There is no written work to be completed for this short course and therefore no certificate to be granted.
