Online Common Ground Meeting

Common Ground meetings are a wonderful opportunity to get together with other befriending coordinators and the Befriending Networks team to share ideas, issues and solutions and get advice on best practice. There is no other forum in which you’ll meet so many others who will understand so well what you do on a daily basis!

Common Grounds traditionally last two hours. As well as giving you the chance to discuss / share / ask about anything regarding befriending, we will also be discussing a certain topic. The format of these meetings is that one hour is dedicated to networking and peer-support, the other hour is focussed on a set theme.

This February our theme is Fundraising and how to monitor and evaluate your service for funding reports and applications. All attendees will receive access to our new Befriending Networks Raising Funds resource.

At current, due to funding, our common ground meetings are free for all to attend. If you would like to attend, click Book Now and process through our checkout system with your name and email address.

Accessing Online:

You will be sent the access details for the meeting closer to the time. This contains a link for accessing the live feed (so you can see everyone you are talking to) but for those without a camera on their phone/tablet/laptop, you can also phone in to hear everything and speak to everyone with ease.

Please note:To ensure you can network and share best practice with organisations nearby or running similar services, please book the most appropriate common ground. If you are operating in rural locations, please book on to that specific common ground rather than this general meeting.

Due to funding, at current our common grounds are not only free to members but for all to attend. Please note Volunteers, Staff and Board members are welcome from befriending projects.
