You can check your membership status using our Directory. As a Member Trustee you represent befriending services ensuring that we continue to be a membership led and membership informed organisation.
Befriending Networks
Befriending Networks, a growing network of organisations for the befriending sector with over 370 members across the UK, is looking for talented individuals to join our Board as a Member Trustee to represent the interests of our diverse membership. We aim to provide a high standard of information sharing, training, quality development, consultancy in relation to befriending. Our activities support the delivery of high-quality befriending services and maintain an effective and supportive network among our members. We raise the profile and understanding of befriending among politicians, commissioners, funders, and the public.
Role of Member Trustee
The role of a Member Trustee includes ensuring that Befriending Networks pursues its objective. You will work in partnership with the Chief Executive and engaging with fellow trustees in decision-making by sharing knowledge, skills, and experience as a member befriending organisation to inform the board’s work planning and activities.
We are seeking Member Trustees who will provide good independent judgement, impartiality, alongside excellent communication, and interpersonal skills to advance our organisations aims. We would particularly welcome interest from individuals who have expertise in equalities, diversity, and inclusion; finance; volunteer management; or research, evaluation, and impact.
