Time Together is a new project offering Volunteer Befriending to residents of East Durham, County Durham. Time Together delivers support in the homes of those who are isolated, providing companionship and wellbeing support and signposting to relevant services when required. Recognising the importance of community engagement and participation for isolated beneficiaries, where practical our befrienders will encourage and support beneficiaries to access services and activities in their community by transporting and accompanying them to activities. Beneficiaries are encouraged to develop confidence and new friendships within the activities they join.

Information for volunteers

Time Together is a new project offering Volunteer Befriending to residents of East Durham, County Durham. Time Together delivers support in the homes of those who are isolated, providing companionship and wellbeing support and signposting to relevant services when required. Volunteer Befrienders will act as a vital social support for those in need in our communities. We are keen to hear from people of all ages who are able to volunteer their time as a befriender. Hosted by East Durham Trust volunteers will receive training and develop their skills, all while providing a much needed service for the community.
