Southwark Irish Pensioners Project

Southwark Irish Pensioners Project supports elderly Irish citizens living in south London to enjoy a happy and dignified retirement.

We provide day services and community support services including outreach and advocacy, carer support, volunteer befrienders, an advice service, hospital visiting scheme and pub outreach.

Information for volunteers

We offer a wide range of volunteer opportunities including:
- Befriending visits to client's homes or within the community
- Telephone befriending
- Supporting staff with various activities at our day clubs
- Providing transport to special events
Plus ad hoc opportunities such as
- Gardening
- DIY
- Sitting-in for carers
