Ray of Light Wales Cancer Support

Ray of Light Cancer Support provides free social and emotional support to patients, carers, friends and families affected by cancer.
We offer a telephone and postal befriending service together with both online and face to face groups:
Whittling, Arts & Crafts, Book Club, Choir, Telephone Befriending, The Hang Out Group for Young People. We cover Rhondda, Cynon, Taff, Bridgend, Barry and Cardiff.

Information for volunteers

Our Volunteers offer telephone befriending support. The also help at our Groups based in Abercynon, Velindre, Bridgend and Barry
supporting anyone affected by cancer.

We also hold several family events and activities throughout the year which is ideal for Volunteers that are unable to commit to offering weekly support.

We have gardening opportunities, befriending, sharing skills and fundraising. We also have a Friends of Ray of Light who support with fundraising ideas and events.
