Chell Area Family Action Group

CAFAG delivers a range of community activities and services in order to address the needs of the local community within the Fegg Hayes, Chell, Chell Heath and Packmoor areas of Stoke-on-Trent. This ranges from being as simple as saying hello through to our Community Cafe serving nutritious and affordable meals, an Ofsted registered Nursery, a Crèche for the enjoyment and stimulus of children and enabling their parents/carers to enjoy activities in the Centre, a Community Gym, health & wellbeing courses, Together there is Hope project to combat loneliness, three weekly Youth Clubs for young people aged between 11 and 19 years old, a Walking Group, a Community Gardening Scheme, a Lunch Club for the over 55s, Men in Sheds a disabled-friendly mini-bus used for transporting those who would not normally be able to access CAFAG and its services, Yoga classes and the provision of volunteering opportunities with volunteers assisting to deliver services and activities provided at the centre.

Information for volunteers

CAFAG offers a wide variety of volunteering opportunities including volunteering in the Community Cafe and Food on the Move (Meals on Wheels) projects, volunteering in our Charity Shop, assisting with the administration, marketing and promotion of the Centre and its projects, being a volunteer driver, helping to deliver projects and services such as the Over 55s Lunch Club, Men in Sheds, the Community Gardening project, the Creche, being a Trustee of CAFAG and having a say in how the Charity is run and develops, assisting in our Youth Project and Youth Clubs and many more exciting opportunities.
