Middlesbrough and Stockton Mind
Our service offers telephone befriending for adults living in the areas of Middlesbrough and Stockton.
The service is here for people who are feeling isolated and lonely. We started the service in response to the Covid pandemic. We realised more people were struggling because of the lack of contact with others. Some people had things they could do and places they could go before the pandemic and the lockdowns and miss these terribly when they aren't able to do these anymore. Some people were already lonely and the pandemic has made this feel even worse.
If you would like to have a weekly telephone call with someone who you can talk with about things that interest you, to have a bit of company and a friendly person to chat with then you can get in touch with us.
The service is delivered by trained volunteers.
