Information for volunteers
We offer a welfare call programme, volunteers at present do one of the following roles :
Telephone welfare Volunteers, Keeping In Touch calls are intended to provide people with contact while isolating and to offer them a chance to indicate or raise concerns. They will contact members individuals to ascertain how they are managing during the COVID-19 crisis and reassure them of continued contact and/or referral to organisations that may be able to help with existing or developing issues.
Collection & delivery Volunteers, the collection and delivery team provide support for residents living in Watford and Three Rivers who have been advised to self-isolate. The role will include carrying out requests such as helping an individual or family by delivering emergency food parcels, collecting prescriptions for them and possibly other requests such as posting mail etc
Personal shopping Volunteers, the personal shopping team provide support for residents living in Watford and Three Rivers who have been advised to self-isolate. The role will include carrying out a weekly shop for those unable to do it themselves.
