Whilst we have experience of delivering a variety of services in the UK, including supporting during floods, Grenfell tower fire, homeless food provision etc, we had to adapt very quickly during the covid crisis. Using our international disaster relief experience, we were able to setup one of the UK’s first Covid-19 support line services within a few days after the lockdown was announced. It involved recruiting and training over 250 volunteers within days and provide an 8am to 8pm service 7 days a week.

Our Covid helpline has taken many referals from people requiring befriending. For the last 25 years we have been providing befriending services especially for the elderly and the BAME communities.

We use video facilities as well as face to face keeping in mind strict government guidance.

We are able to provide training and a professional supportive environment and peer support for any new volunteers.
