Unboxed is about connecting people to nature to improve their mental wellbeing. It is focused on helping those with poor mental health and their carers or family.
Activities run by unboxed will bring people together in the hope that social networks will be established to support people with poor mental health.
Information for volunteers
This service will involve initial contact with carers or directly with people suffering poor mental wellbeing.
The service will involve taking people into nature to experience nature first hand during lowland or woodland walks or gentle exercise activities. During the time outdoors it is hoped people will be able to connect with each other and establish a support network. The role of a volunteer will be to help establish this support network.
