Living Truth CIC
Our mission is to support and improve the lives of marginalised individuals and groups, particularly but not exclusively: vulnerable girls, women and young mothers, young people, families, offenders and ex-offenders and practitioners who work with these cohorts.
We aim to address long-term solutions to current intractable social problems, we work to reduce social exclusion, loneliness and conflict by offering innovative programmes and bespoke packages of support.
Our work is underpinned by fundamental principles behind the human experience. We recognise that everyone is inherently resilient and healthy regardless of their history or present circumstances. We believe that the possibility of a fresh experience of life and a new beginning is available to everyone, with no exception.
The sharing of this understanding has had profound results and documented impact in the fields of mental health, trauma, education and offending.
Information for volunteers
We are a small organisation offering resilience and wellbeing coaching on a 1 to 1 and group basis. At least twice a year we recruit, vet, train and coach volunteers to work on time limited projects serving the community.
We have just recruited 25 volunteers who are in the process of being trained to support the Coronavirus Befriending efforts in the Battersea area. We are hoping to run a second round of online training in the near future as it seems that this service could be offered further afield.
