Care and Share Companionship
Care and Share Companionship supports people over 60 years of age who are living in isolation or feeling lonely.
We can offer 1-1 support from our volunteer companions on a weekly, fortnightly or monthly basis between 1-2hours per visit.
Volunteers can take people to health appointments, shopping, visit to family or friends, going for a walk or to a place of interest to them. They can visit at home and enjoy having a chat, finding out about the person they visit over a cup of tea or coffee. This can also give respite to carers to have a little "me time".
This is a free service. A small courtesy payment is requested for a refreshment for the volunteer if people wish to stop for a cup of tea or coffee.
