Connecting Chelford

Connecting Chelford is a local Befriending Service to provide a non profit making voluntary service. Working through Project Coordinators who liaise with Chelford Surgery, St John's Church and other local support services to support residents of Chelford and the immediate area that are lonely.
Residents who are interested in this service contact the Project Coordinator to arrange a visit so their requirements can be established and matched to a volunteer to provide Befriending support and opportunities to relieve their loneliness.

Information for volunteers

Connecting Chelford promote community involvement in Befriending volunteering and provide a resource of quality, trained and DBS checked volunteers. Volunteers are required to provide a minimum of one hour per week volunteer befriending support. Befriending volunteers are expected to attend Safeguarding Training and be willing to take part in an evaluation programme. A new expanded events programme requires additional support from volunteers normally on a monthly basis.
