Peterborough Association for the Blind
We are a registered charity dedicated to helping visually impaired people and their carers find the right level of support and to help them maintain their quality of life. We already support and provide services to around 350 members, Isolation and loss of confidence often accompanies the trauma of losing your sight. Through our activities, we aim to help individuals regain their confidence and feel less isolated so that they can take a more active part in the community.
Information for volunteers
Our volunteers assist members by offering support in a number of ways, from befriending them at home, to assisting them at activities and encouraging independence. Volunteers may also help members on day trips and at regular social activities.
