Jewish Care Scotland

Visit elderly clients in their own homes in E Ren/Glasgow area on a 121 basis. People accessing service are socially isolated, disabled &/or frail or have been identified as needing support & benefit from visits &, where appropriate, outings. Min 2 hours per month, Mon-Fri office hours PVG check required
•Maintain confidentiality relating to clients, their families & staff
•Improve quality of life & reduce social isolation
•Awareness of clients’ needs
•Good communication & listening skills
•Punctual & reliable, committed & flexible, helpful, caring & friendly
•Volunteers should be fit & able to travel
•Reimbursement of expenses
•Knowledge that every visit improves client’s quality of life & raises self-esteem & confidence
