Information for volunteers

This is a flexible opportunity for someone to befriend an older/lonely person who has become isolated at home. Support and friendship can be offered in any number of ways: chatting, playing games, taking them out of the home or shopping. Each befriending opportunity is different and requires a genuine interest in the overall well- being of the person. It is a great way to volunteer as much or as little as you are able, in your own time, whenever is convenient to you. The effect you can have on an older person is immense and can greatly improve their mental and physical well – being. We offer full support to our volunteers.
