Kilbryde Hospice

Kilbryde Hospice is a voluntary independent hospice in South Lanarkshire which exists to provide specialist palliative care to patients with life limiting progressive illnesses and to their carers.Befrienders are an integral part of the Care@Home project which provides emotional support to individuals who are unable to attend our Day Services/Drop In at Kilbryde Hospice. A befriender offers informal support and companionship which extends the individual's support circle and broadens the opportunities available to them. Befrienders are matched on a one-one basis with the aim of sharing common interests and activities. Befrienders are recruited and trained to deliver this support to socially isolated people in South Lanarkshire.
