Home-Start East Lothian
Home-Start East Lothian supports vulnerable families with at least one child under five through the recruitment, training and placement of volunteer befrienders who can offer support, friendship and practical assistance.
Home-Start East Lothian endeavours to fulfil a preventive role, wherein families in difficulty can be supported by well-trained volunteers, lessening the chance of family problems deteriorating to the point where statutory intervention is required.
