St Andrews Hospice
St Andrews Hospice provides palliative care for the people of Lanarkshire.
Volunteer befrienders provide informal support and companionship to people affected by a life limiting illness. Volunteers will visit patients homes usually once a week for couple of hours for a chat, to share activities or sometimes to assist patients get out locally.

St Andrews Hospice Community service supports patients with life limiting illnesses and their carers. Our volunteer befrienders are a vital part of the support provided. They visit people at home who are lonely or isolated due to their illness ,often lacking confidence to get out on their own. Volunteers provide a link to the community , companionship and shared activities.
