Age UK North Tyneside

We provide a friendship service to older people in North Tyneside, to help reduce loneliness and isolation in our community.
Our volunteer led service offers home visit befriending and telephone befriending. This service is free of charge.
Our organisation is also able to help older people define any other help they may want to improve their wellbeing.

Information for volunteers

We support, supervise, coach and develop volunteers who wish to offer their time home visit befriending or telephone befriending.
Our service supports older customers experiencing loneliness and isolation. We offer a wide range of volunteer training opportunities.
