Voluntary Action Orkney
The Young People's Befriending Service in Orkney provides one to one befriending for children and young people aged 5-18 years.
The aim is to provide reliable and consistent 1 to 1 relationships with young people which builds on their confidence, self-esteem and feelings of self-worth.
The Young People's Befriending Project supports young persons between the ages of 5 and 18 years who are experiencing significant difficulties and who would benefit from the input of a volunteer on a one-to-one basis.
Information for volunteers
We recruit a range of volunteers (over 18 years) to support the children and young people of Orkney.
We provide free training, support and pay for expenses.
