About Befriending Networks
"We are a new Befriending Support service, with the help of resources such as the 'Being a Befriender- the Good Practice Guide' from the Befriending Network I feel much more confident in my ability to provide the foundations for our Befriending Support, which will then support our Volunteer Befriender's and service users." -Airdrie CAB
We envisage a society which values befriending and recognises its importance, and where everyone who needs it has access to befriending support.
Since the late 1980s, Befriending Networks has provided support, training and guidance to hundreds of befriending projects across the country.
We continue to provide information and support for new and established befriending projects by offering resources, training, guidelines and recommendations for best practice. By connecting our membership and providing opportunities for members to share experiences and practices, we enable members' befriending services to develop effectively and efficiently and are able to represent our members' voices on a national level.
Many befriending projects are small and can also be geographically isolated, so find additional value in the opportunities Befriending Networks facilitates to meet, exchange information and experience and work together to develop best practice. In addition, new projects find the knowledge and experience of the Networks and its members and invaluable resource.
Befriending Networks Ltd is a registered charity and a company limited by guarantee.
