Evaluation: how will you know how successful you have been?

During and following a campaign, you should always make an effort to evaluate your success in order to improve your campaigning in the future. Some questions to consider are

  • Did you ask for the right things?
  • What worked well and what went wrong? Is it possible to say why?
  • How many people have taken action on your behalf? Was this enough? What prompted people to get involved? Could you have got more people on board?
  • How did the media respond and was this helpful?
