Our work is focused on three areas: Parenting, Marriage/Couple Support and Bereavement. The Chemists' Community Fund (working name of the Royal Society of Chemistry Benevolent Fund) assists with grants for members of the Royal Society of Chemistry and their dependents who are in need. Applicants normally must have been members for the last 3 years, or ex-members. Our grants can help towards essential living costs, home maintenance, respite care and household appliances. We offer support in a number of areas including befriending, legal advice, benefits advice and counselling.

Polycystic Kidney Disease Charity

Powys Befrienders is a PAVO project (the County Voluntary Council in Powys). We support the 3rd sector enabling them to deliver their aims & objectives through development, support, representation & communication on national & regional level. The project is delivered across the whole of Powys and will improve the independence of people aged 50+, maintain their social networks & allow them to remain in their own homes for as long as they are able.

Our specially trained helpline staff: • Offer information, friendship and advice • Link callers to local groups and services • Protect and support those who are suffering abuse and neglect If callers would like to be put in touch with Silver Line Friends, they can receive a weekly friendship call or a regular friendship letter from a volunteer friend.
