Consultancy
Befriending Networks has a wealth of knowledge, experience and understanding of the issues faced by befriending projects and other voluntary organisations.
Since 2002, we have applied this knowledge through consultancy services, supporting organisations in their day-to-day work, their review of practice and their future development. Support can be from just a day's input through to longer-term pieces of work.
What kind of help is available?
These are some of the areas in which we can help:
- Project Evaluations
- Feasibility Studies
- Organisational Reviews
- Publication Writing
- In-House Training for Staff or Volunteers
- External Supervision for Managers
Who are the consultancy services for?
Anyone can commission Befriending Networks for consultancy work.
How does the service operate?
We will prepare a proposal for the work you require to be undertaken, the intended outcome of the work and an appropriate timetable. The involvement and expectations of both parties will be agreed at the outset and set out in a simple 'terms of reference' document.
How much does it cost?
The Befriending Networks consultancy service can operate either on a daily rate or on a package rate for commissions involving longer-term work.
Who carries out the consultancy work?
Befriending Networks staff manage the consultancy, with input from different staff members depending on the nature of the project. In addition, we have wider team of consultants who we call in for specialist work such as face-to-face interviews with befrienders and befriendees or survey design and analysis.
Client list
We have undertaken work for Volunteer Centres, CVSs, befriending projects, health boards, social work teams, national voluntary organisations and a range of local projects.
You will find us competitive in price, organised and friendly to deal with and thorough on results and recommendations.
